It seemed like my husband was constantly “misplacing” his glasses, keys, tech toys, etc. One day out of sheer desperation I decided he needed a bag of some sort. So, from an old pair of raggy jeans and some left over blue cotton, the Murse was born. Enjoy this free sewing tutorial.
This project was a lot of fun! I took the basic idea from re-cycle, re-create, re-love…. You’ll notice that I pieced it a little differently.
I added more pockets to help my DH organize his things.
And of course I had to add some of his personality to his Murse. He’s truly and happily a geek. LOL!
What I would change:
– use a nice stiff piece of interfacing in the front body of the bag. It’s just too wobbly.
– put a zipper or some type of closure on any pocket you add to the flap. LOL!
Got an shabby old pair of jeans that have been mended once to often? Don’t throw them away! Re-purpose them. Have fun! Add your personal touches and you have a rugged project that will last years.
