Fiberarts Community

A cozy, always-open virtual knitgroup and makers’ lounge. For knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, painters, and other neurospicy creatives who want real connection without having to leave the house (or mask who they are).

What is the Fiberarts Community?

Imagine your favorite knitgroup, but it lives online and never disappears. Some days it’s quiet coworking, some days it’s full of laughter and “wait, show me that stitch again.” It’s part of the wider ArtemisNorth ecosystem alongside ADHD University and TechAlchemy.

  • Open rooms where you can work on WIPs with other humans in the background.
  • Space for classes, demos, movie nights, and gentle experiment-y workshops.
  • Simple digital boards for sharing wins, gratitude, and links without losing them.

Purl — your fiber-smart helper

Meet Purl, your fiber-smart helper

Purl lives in the community and in my virtual office. You can ask for pattern math, gauge help, yarn ideas, or “does this even make sense?” It also knows how to point you to calculators and resources on artemisnorth.com and ADHD University.

  • Knitting & crochet questions answered in plain, non-intimidating language.
  • Gauge, yardage, and shaping support using the calculators I’ve built.
  • Friendly prompts that nudge you to share progress instead of overthinking it.

Knit Happens Wednesdays

Every Wednesday, 1–3 PM ET. It’s part coworking session, part knitnight, part “bring your chaos and we’ll make a little progress together.”

  • Low-pressure, high-kindness vibes. Cameras on or off, both are welcome.
  • A weekly anchor that helps your WIPs actually move forward.
  • Open to all creatives – writers, painters, coders, stitchers, and “I’m just hanging out.”
